Squamish CAN (Climate Action Network) Meeting

Come and join Squamish CAN at our next Network meeting. We enjoy a fun, informal atmosphere while learning about the possibilities for creative change in our community. Councillor Doug Race will be our special guest.

We will kick off the meeting with a 20 min documentary on the efforts by other cities around the world to become carbon neutral. Coun. Doug Race will offer us some comments about the situation in our local context and, among other things, we will have the chance to talk with him about the Sustainability Block development proposed for downtown. Much has been said, for instance, about the height of the buildings suggested for this development; see the effect of different heights in the drawing attached. Take advantage of this opportunity – bring your questions and comments.
