Squamish Rotary Hosts Olympic Hockey Game at Brennan Park

Brennan Park Recreation Centre Ice Arena, 3:30 pm. Tickets to the hockey event are $10.00. Before the Olympic Torch Relay on Thursday, February 4th at 3:30 pm at the Brennan Park Recreation Centre Ice Arena, 1009 Centennial Way, Squamish Rotary will be hosting an international fundraising hockey event between the Twin Cities Northern Lights (www.northernlightshockey.com) and the Squamish Wolf Pack (www.squamishwolfpack.com). The lads from across the border will be playing to raise funds for eradicating Polio through Rotary’s End Polio campaign while also promoting literacy.
On behalf of the home team, Squamish Rotary will be raising funds for a Squamish legacy by launching KidSport, to remove financial barriers that prevent kids from playing organized sport. For more information on KidSport click here: www.kidsport.ca.

The hockey players will be visiting local elementary schools before the big game and will be taking in the 2010 Winter Olympic Torch relay after.
