Lunaflicks - Whistler’s sixth annual outdoor screening series

Whistler’s sixth annual outdoor screening series runs each Wednesday to the end of August. LUNAFLIKS features short films by BC filmmakers, local musicians and DJs, dinner snacks and popcorn, and a mixture of brand new or seldom-seen, international and mostly independent feature films.
In Bruges, our July 16 feature film will be preceded by:
*Music by Battle of the Bands semifinalist Ian McAnsh, and
*Short film, "Arbitrarily Pear!" by this year's 72-hour filmmaker
showdown winner, Robjn Taylor.
July’s films will be screened at Lost Lake and Rebagliati parks; August’s films will all be screened at Lost Lake Park. Films are rated PG and up. Gates open at 8:30pm, screenings begin at sundown.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair and wear warm clothing. Some foam mats and blankets will be available to rent. Whistler’s parks are alcohol-free. Admission is $7, and tickets/reservations are not required. A special Lost Lake Shuttle will take movie-goers to/from LUNAFLIKS from 8:15pm for just 50¢.
LUNAFLIKS will be moved to Village 8 Cinemas for a 9:30pm screening in the event of rain; check the event hotline 604.966.4800 for event day updates. Film details will be listed at www.lunawhistler.com.
